Roger W. Meyer

Roger Meyer is a brand strategist and creative director. In 1996 he founded Level M Inc., a brand solutions agency. In his role as brand consultant, Roger creates and develops strategic marketing and messaging programs. His past and present clients include New York City Marketing, Novartis, SunAmerica, Panasonic, DealerTrack, Leap, City of Poughkeepsie, and the National Park Service. He has helped many leading PR and business media agencies conceive and execute award-winning campaigns.

Roger directed the national brand strategy for Governors Island, which was recognized by the White House and won PRWeek's award for Nonprofit Campaign of the Year. He put a grassroots event before a world audience and received coverage on the front page of the New York Times. He crafted a brand alliance between Target and New York City. Roger's campaigns are groundbreaking initiatives designed to mobilize diverse groups, forge new relationships, and shift public thinking.

Prior to founding Level M, Roger was Chief Designer for Sony International in NJ and responsible for revitalizing Sony’s brand image across business media and Time Square advertising. During this time he garnered award recognition for graphic design and interactive media. He worked in news media, as a reporter for Gannett Newspapers and as Creative Director for Cablevision.

Roger is executive editor of TrendPointe.com, a popular thought-leadership platform for the business intelligence community. Roger lectures on alternative brand strategies and solutions in corporate and academic venues. He is a founding member of the Theory of Truth Group, a discussion of contemporary philosophy and its application to personal and organizational growth. Roger graduated with a B.A. in English Literature from the State University of New York at Purchase.

Understand Your Business, Understand Your BI

Irving "Bubba" Tyler made an interesting observation at the symposium: "You cannot talk about business intelligence without talking about collaboration and knowledge management."

The former CIO of Quaker Chemical suggested that if a company is serious about BI, it will develop its own way of using it. For instance, Quaker relies heavily on BI to compete in its sector.
